FAQ’s

Anything you need to know

Why should I use 24/7 Monitoring as my third-party alarm receiving centre ?

We invest in the technology and the staffing, and you use the service. This means that you don´t have the expensive outlay of setting up your own monitoring station. But you get all the benefits.  As an NSI Gold Accredited Alarm Receiving Centre, you can be sure our monitoring services are of the highest standard.

What are the benefits of adding monitoring to my services ?

Having the option to offer monitoring adds to greatly to the portfolio of systems you may be able to offer your clients.  These may include systems such as lone worker alarms, medical alarms, or building management  systems, as well as adding to the protection offered by an intruder alarm system.

A standalone intruder alarm system relies on the actions of neighbours or passers by taking some form of action when it activates.  This can mean property owners only know the alarm has activated when they return home. Which can be much too late if the siren has not scared off a determined burglar. With the addition of monitoring, pre-agreed escalation procedures would be implemented, potentially limiting the effects of any break-in.

How much will it cost ?

That depends on the system type and number of connections you want to place with us. Simply complete the contact details on this site and we´ll prepare a quote for you. Or you can call us to discuss your requirements. Give us a call – it may well be more affordable than you imagine.

What you then charge your customers is entirely up to you. You remain independent and in control of your customer billing. We just bill you directly for our services — a great way to boost your income and add another source of revenue to your business.

Why monitor an alarm? What are the benefits vs. A bells only system ?

Do I need to be an approved installer in order to use your services ?

Not necessarily.  We work with companies across different sectors, all of whom have different requirements from us as a monitoring station. If, however, you are installing an intruder alarm that requires Police response, you will need to be an accredited company. The Police cannot issue your system with a unique reference number (URN) otherwise.

I am interested, what are the next steps ?

Simply get in touch with us today! Either by giving us a call on 0345 337 0545, or by contacting us here. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.

Can I run a trial ?

Yes.  We are more than happy to run trials with you! Especially if you are hoping to have a new service monitored for the very first time.

As an installer can I have my own access to my sites?

Yes. As an installer, you will therefore have access to your sites via a web browser. As a result, this allows you to make changes to the site records, view alarm histories, place systems on test and much more.
